About NIBS
NIBS is the skills-to-work platform and the school behind it. It designs the Role Pathways and courses, sets the assessment standards, runs the Workplace Lab and NIBS Campus, and records verified competencies and credentials. Katlehong Computer School is its first e-Learning Cafe.
What NIBS does
NIBS is the platform and the academic authority. It designs what is taught, defines what competent work looks like, judges evidence against that definition, and keeps the record.
Every programme page states its current recognition status. NIBS does not claim external accreditation, a professional-body partnership or CPD approval until it is confirmed.

Credentials NIBS issues
Each credential type carries its provenance: NIBS Verified, External Verified, or Self-declared.
Module Completion Attestation
Confirms that a learner completed one module of a NIBS programme, its quiz and practical task included. A record of completion, not of competence.
Skills Course Certificate
Awarded when a learner is assessed as competent in what a NIBS Skill Course teaches. Recorded on the Skills Passport.
Professional Certificate
Awarded on completion of a NIBS Role Pathway, when its credential rule is met: the learning, the competency assessment and, where the rule asks, a Workplace Lab task.
Recorded Credential
A credential issued by another institution, added by the learner. Verified only when NIBS confirms it with the issuer.
Certificate of Completion
Confirms that every lesson, quiz and task of a NIBS course was completed in the campus. Issued automatically on completion; not an assessment of competence.
How verification works
Every credential has an id in the form NIBS-XXXX-XXXX and a verification page. Anyone with the id can confirm the learner name, credential, issuer, issue date, type, status and the skills it covers. Nothing else is shown.
Credentials are private by default. A learner chooses which credentials to make public, and can withdraw that choice at any time. Revoked and expired credentials say so on their verification page.
- Never shown
- ID numbers, assessment records, uploaded evidence, internal notes or private profile data.
- Revocation
- A credential issued in error is revoked, and its verification page says so.
- External credentials
- Only marked External Verified when NIBS has confirmed them with the issuer.
