What an occupational qualification is
A national qualification registered for a specific occupation, with a set NQF level and credit value. It combines knowledge, practical skill and workplace experience, and ends in an external integrated assessment. The certificate is issued through the national quality council for occupations, not by NIBS.

At the NIBS Katlehong campus, 824 Sontonga Road, Katlehong: QCTO accreditation is for that address, so the learning, the workplace component and the assessment happen there. NIBS records your competencies as you go; the certificate is issued by the QCTO.
